Three Women Charged with Vandalism in Cape Coral Incident
CAPE CORAL, Fla. — In a rather unusual case of vandalism, three women have been accused of damaging a former friend’s vehicle and home using eggs, condiments, and milk, a situation that has led to both property damage and subsequent criminal charges.
The incident reportedly took place on September 25, with the suspects being captured on surveillance footage at a Circle K gas station on Skyline Boulevard, where they purchased the items that were later used in the vandalism.
Michael Santiago, a local resident, shared his perspective on how he would choose to address such a situation, stating, “Definitely not calling the police. I will 100% find out who it was. The way I grew up, you just got to handle your stuff.”
Adel Chapman, owner of Dream Dash Mobile Detailing in Cape Coral, noted that similar incidents have occurred in his line of work. “I had a customer call me one time. They were pranked. They didn’t know who the person was. They egged them. It was about a whole dozen,” Chapman recounted.
He elaborated on the difficulties of removing egg residue, particularly in Florida’s warm climate. “Eggs have a lot of enzymes and proteins in them. If you let that etch onto the clear paint or the clear coat, it could leave a lot of etching,” he explained.
The victim discovered her car, a Nissan, coated in the substances around 4 a.m. and promptly reported the situation to the police. Upon inspection, authorities noted that they attempted to clean the car; however, they found that the paint had begun to peel as a result of the vandalism.
The three women involved—Diane Merritt, Jocelyn Vizcaino, and Allison Coram—now face multiple charges, which include property damage and contributing to a child’s delinquency by involving a minor in the act.
Addressing the actions of the suspects, Santiago remarked, “I think it’s very immature of people doing stuff like that.”
