His leadership at Richard Bland culminated in a regional championship and an impressive finish as national junior college runners-up during the program’s inaugural season.

As a newcomer to Division I coaching, Perrow specializes in skill development and strength and conditioning. Sequoia Lindsey steps into her professional role at NCCU after completing an internship at Davidson College, where she supported various athletic programs, including football, women’s field hockey, and women’s lacrosse. Lindsey, hailing from Sanford, North Carolina, graduated with a degree in sports management from Winston-Salem State University. During her studies, she contributed as an equipment manager for the football team and engaged in game-day operations.

Gaines expressed confidence in Lindsey’s potential, saying, “Sequoia is getting her first full opportunity as director of operations in this profession, and from the moment I interviewed her, I could tell she was hungry and ready to work.” With a solid foundation in collegiate athletics, Lindsey is expected to elevate the operational aspects of the basketball program.
