Harvard Women’s Soccer Triumphs Over Cornell
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University’s women’s soccer team maintained its strong performance in the Ivy League with an impressive 4-1 victory against Cornell University on Saturday afternoon at Jordan Field. This win marks Harvard’s eighth victory of the season, improving their overall record to 8 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw, as well as a perfect 2-0-0 league standing.
Match Highlights
The game commenced with an early advantage for Harvard when Brooke Huleatt netted the first goal in the 17th minute. However, Cornell quickly responded, equalizing just four minutes later in the 21st minute. The back-and-forth action characterized the match’s opening half.
Following halftime, Ólöf Kristinsdóttir gave Harvard the lead again with a goal in the 50th minute. The Crimson extended their lead as Anna Rayhill scored in the 64th minute, quickly followed by Huleatt’s second goal just one minute later. Huleatt’s performance highlighted her crucial role in securing this decisive win for the Crimson.
