Seahawks Running Back Jadarian Price to Miss Multiple Games Due to Injury
The Seattle Seahawks have officially placed running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve, ruling him out for the upcoming game and at least the next three. This decision was announced by the team on Saturday, amidst concerns over a chest injury that Price aggravated during practice.
Injury Details and Impact
Price, who was selected as the final pick of the first round in the recent draft, sustained his chest injury during Week 2. After initially recovering, he re-injured the area while practicing on Wednesday. Despite starting in each of the Seahawks’ first three games, he has managed to gain only 119 yards on 28 carries, leading to two fumbles lost.
Throughout these games, Price played approximately 35.8% of the Seahawks’ offensive snaps, sharing the workload primarily with teammates Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.
Looking Ahead: Team Adjustments
As the Seahawks navigate this setback, they anticipate the return of Zach Charbonnet, who has recently had his 21-day practice window opened. This will provide the team with additional depth at the running back position moving forward.
Roster Moves
In conjunction with Price’s placement on injured reserve, Seattle signed running back Velus Jones Jr. off the practice squad on Saturday. Furthermore, cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Maxen Hook have been elevated from the practice squad to participate in Sunday’s game.
