On September 30, 2026, Dress for Success® Worldwide will host its annual Women Who Inspire Luncheon at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. This year’s event, themed “Rise Together,” aims to underscore the power of collective progress and the importance of supporting women across various sectors.
The luncheon will pay tribute to Gloria Steinem, a distinguished activist and a pioneering figure in the movement for women’s rights. Her lifelong advocacy has inspired individuals to pursue their aspirations while challenging systemic inequalities, making her a fitting honoree for the event. Steinem was slated to discuss her recent memoir, “An Unexpected Life,” though a special tribute will feature a conversation with Julianna Margulies and Amy Richards, both notable figures in the entertainment and activism realms.
“Gloria Steinem’s courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to advancing opportunity for women and girls has created lasting change for women globally,” remarked Joanie Bily, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide. “We are honored to celebrate her extraordinary life, enduring legacy, and profound impact on generations of women worldwide.”
In addition to honoring Steinem, the luncheon will recognize various organizations and partners dedicated to promoting access and equity for women, ultimately leading to sustainable economic mobility. This event serves to highlight the importance of investing in programs that empower women and bolster economic prospects for families and communities at large.
The event is supported by several corporate sponsors, including ARM & HAMMER™ Laundry, The Adecco Group US Foundation, Benefit Cosmetics, The Coca-Cola Company, GEICO Philanthropic Foundation, and Ulta Beauty, among others. Longtime partner TJ Maxx will also contribute by providing professional styling for the Global Ambassadors, reinforcing its commitment to the mission of Dress for Success.
Proceeds from the luncheon will help fund various initiatives, including career development programs, financial education, and entrepreneurship support, further empowering women across the organization’s 129 Network Members in 17 countries. By working collectively, Dress for Success aims to provide resources that will benefit 2 million women by the year 2030.
