Apple TV Faces Extended Service Outage
Current Status
As of September 30 at 4:43 PM, users have reported issues accessing Apple TV. This interruption has left many without the ability to stream content, including popular shows like Ted Lasso.
Wider System Outage
The downtime is not limited to Apple TV. According to information from 9to5Mac, Apple’s System Status page indicated that multiple services were also affected, including the iOS App Store, the Mac App Store, Fitness+, Music, as well as aspects related to subscriptions and AppleCare+ purchases. Most of these services were restored fairly quickly, but Apple TV continues to face accessibility challenges.
Possible Reasons for Delay
In their communications, Apple suggested that the outages might be linked to “scheduled maintenance.” However, it remains unclear why the resolution for Apple TV is taking longer compared to the other services, raising questions about potential underlying issues that might be complicating the service’s restoration.
