The Witcher 3 Remastered: Latest Hotfix 5.00c Released
CD Projekt Red has announced the release of a second hotfix for The Witcher 3 Remastered edition, which focuses primarily on improving lighting effects on PC alongside addressing other significant issues.
Patch Details
The latest patch, designated as hotfix 5.00c, implements a series of visual adjustments specifically in the Velen region. Key changes include:
- Tweaks to Bloom effects.
- Improvements to vegetation lighting.
- Adjustments in saturation levels.
- Refinements to Path Tracing lighting.
These refinements come in response to feedback concerning the graphical performance following the Remastered edition’s launch.
Audio Fixes and Additional Changes
In addition to visual enhancements, the hotfix resolves an audio-related problem where voiceover volume was reported to be “significantly quieter” after navigating through the pause menu. The complete list of adjustments and fixes includes:
- Resolved an issue preventing saving or loading games if special characters were included in the path to the Documents folder.
- Fixed the reduced voiceover volume issue occurring after accessing pause menu tabs.
- Improved visual elements around Velen, including Bloom, vegetation lighting, saturation, and Path Tracing adjustments.
- Reverted a prior alteration that affected performance and visuals with HairWorks enabled for some players.
- Corrected a problem where marketing telemetry settings were not properly saved.
- Addressed an issue on GOG where achievements did not appear in the unlocked list after earning them.
- Fixed a launch issue with the Classic (1.32) version of the game.
CD Projekt Red also expressed gratitude for players’ patience as they continue to address reported issues.
Recent Updates for Consoles
Notably, a separate hotfix was released for consoles a day prior, which similarly included “various lighting adjustments” and additional refinements.
