Western Michigan Women’s Tennis Team Kicks Off Fall Season
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University (WMU) women’s tennis team is set to commence its Fall season this weekend at the Hope College Invitational. The event will be held at the VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts, spanning Friday and Saturday.
Event Details
Participants from WMU will take part in various singles and doubles draws:
Singles Draws
- A Singles Draw: Lola Glantz and Sienna Osborne have both received byes to the next round.
- B Singles Draw: Polina Khotko and Frida Weijerman are also starting with byes.
- C Singles Draw: Audrey Smitek will have a bye, while freshman Ayana Yaguchi will compete against Nathalie Ramazzini from Roosevelt University.
- D Singles Draw: Marielou Baudouin, a sophomore, will begin with a bye.
- E Singles Draw: Freshman Xington Jiang opens her match against Mia Graziano from St. Mary’s College.
Doubles Draws
The doubles teams are also well-prepared:
- A Draw: Glantz and Yaguchi are joining forces, as are Osborne and Khotko. Both teams will start off with byes.
- B Draw: The pair of Weijerman and Baudouin will begin their run on a bye.
- C Draw: Smitek and Jiang will both open with a bye in this draw as well.

The Hope College Invitational marks an important kickoff for the Broncos as they prepare for competitive play this Fall.
