USF Women’s Basketball Game Recap and Next Match Details

Nassau, Bahamas – On November 24, 2025, the University of South Florida (USF) women’s basketball team faced off against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship. The Bulls fought hard but ultimately lost the match with a score of 57-45, bringing their season record to 3-3.

Fatou Diakite was a standout player, achieving a career-high of 16 points. She showcased her skills by shooting 6-for-7 from the field and maintaining perfect accuracy at the free-throw line with a 4-for-4 performance. In addition to her scoring, Diakite led the Bulls in rebounds with seven and tied her personal best with three blocks.

The Bulls managed to secure an advantage in the points in the paint category, leading 22-20, and outscored Minnesota’s bench 10-7. Despite a challenging first half where the Gophers built a substantial lead of 30-15 by halftime, USF demonstrated resilience, narrowing the gap in the second half.

USF’s defense significantly improved after the break, limiting Minnesota to just 28% shooting from the field in the second half. The Bulls managed to cut a notable 19-point deficit down to just eight points in the final minutes, showing determination and teamwork.
