ECU Women’s Swimming and Diving Team to Host Diving Competition

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina University women’s swimming and diving squad is gearing up to host a diving-only meet as part of their 2025-26 season. This event will take place this Saturday at Minges Natatorium, featuring in-state rivals NC State and UNCW.

Competition is slated to commence at 11 a.m. on Saturday, providing an exciting opportunity for the divers to showcase their talents in front of a home crowd.

Recent Performances

In their previous diving meet on October 3-4, held at Liberty, ECU’s divers delivered commendable performances. Notably, Frida Zuniga excelled, securing first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Following this impressive showing, Zuniga and freshman Romina Hernandez were recognized with the American Conference Women’s Weekly Diving Honors on October 7.

Upcoming Matches

Following this weekend’s competition, the Pirates will remain at Minges Natatorium for an additional meet on November 1. This upcoming quad-meet will feature teams from UNC Asheville, Lynchburg, and Barton, starting at 1 p.m.
