Teams and Individuals Selection Process
Selection for the championships varies by division:
Division I Selection
– Qualifying teams will emerge from the regional championships, with the top two teams from each of the nine regions automatically qualifying, totaling 18 teams.
– An additional 14 teams will be selected at-large, creating a 32-team competition.
– Furthermore, 38 individual athletes will be chosen, including the top four regional finishers not already on qualifying teams.
Division II Selection
– A total of 34 teams will qualify from the regional competitions, with the top three teams from eight regions automatically advancing.
– An additional ten teams can qualify at-large, while at least 24 individuals will receive selections through both automatic and at-large criteria.
Division III Selection
– 32 teams will be represented at the championships, with the top team from each of the 10 regions securing automatic bids and 22 additional teams selected at large.
– A minimum of 70 individuals, specifically the first seven athletes from each region not part of a qualifying team, will participate.
