Rainbow Wahine Fall Invitational Wrap-Up

Honolulu/Seattle, Wash. – The University of Hawai’i women’s tennis team concluded their participation in the Rainbow Wahine Fall Invitational with a solid day of doubles matches, despite adverse weather conditions that limited play at the UH Tennis Complex. In Seattle, the doubles team of Grete Gull and Sophie Rachor engaged in the consolation rounds of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Sectional Championships.

Doubles Competition Highlights

During Friday’s matches, Allaire Berl and Emma Forgac delivered a strong performance against Hawai’i Pacific’s Annika Hakovirta and Evi Roobol, winning the match with a score of 6-4. In another key matchup, the Rainbow Wahine duo Makeilah Nepomuceno and Hannah Galindo faced two teams on the final day:

  • They first triumphed over the Hawai’i Hilo pair, Lehua Jordan and Pia Starnecker, winning decisively at 6-1.
  • In a thrilling second match, Nepomuceno and Galindo edged out Tereza Noah and Willow Dymkovwski of the Sharks, clinching a tie-break victory of 7-6 (7-3).
