Gustavus Adolphus College Women’s Tennis Team Shines at Creighton/Omaha Invite
OMAHA, Neb. — The women’s tennis team from Gustavus Adolphus College displayed impressive performance during the recent Creighton/Omaha Invite, held this past weekend. The Gusties secured notable victories in both doubles and singles matches, highlighting their competitive spirit.
Doubles Highlights
In the doubles competition, three pairs from Gustavus Adolphus showcased their skills:
- Karina Elvestrom and Kaya De Bruijn achieved a convincing 6-2 victory against their Nebraska Kearney counterparts.
- Molly Austin teamed with Lanie Davis to dominate another duo from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, winning 6-0.
- Additionally, Austin paired with Allison Szalay to secure two more victories, further enhancing the team’s performance in doubles play.
Singles Success
In singles competition, Savannah Rosenhan registered a decisive win, overcoming Summer Shannon from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
