UIndy Swimming & Diving Athletes Earn Academic All-America Honors
AUSTIN, Texas – Three standout student-athletes from the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) swimming and diving program have been recognized for their exceptional achievements in both athletics and academics. Kirabo Namutebi, Isabella Revstedt, and Celina Schmidt have all secured spots on the prestigious 2024-25 Academic All-America® Team, with selections announced by College Sports Communicators.
Acknowledged Excellence
This esteemed accolade is presented annually to student-athletes who excel in their respective sports while maintaining academic excellence. Schmidt and Revstedt have been awarded first team honors, whereas Namutebi has been recognized on the third team. Notably, Schmidt is highlighted as the only repeat honoree among the trio, having been part of last season’s second team.
Championship Contributions
The three athletes collectively achieved a remarkable total of 13 All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Division II Championships, contributing significantly to UIndy’s strong fourth-place team finish. Revstedt and Namutebi played crucial roles in clinching the national title in the 200 freestyle relay. Additionally, Namutebi was a key member of the 200 medley relay championship team.
Individual Achievements
- Kirabo Namutebi: National runner-up in the 50 freestyle.
- Isabella Revstedt: Finished fifth in the 100 backstroke.
- Celina Schmidt: Secured first team recognition by placing fifth in the 100 breaststroke and fourth in the 200 breaststroke.
