GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The Northern Michigan University (NMU) women’s swim team delivered an outstanding performance, capturing victory in all 14 events at the UW Green Bay meet.
Mia Strazny Shines with Multiple Wins
Mia Strazny exhibited exceptional skill by winning each event she participated in, taking gold in both the individual 100 and 200 backstroke races, while also contributing to the triumphant 200 medley and freestyle relay teams.
Becca Burrows’ Impressive Four-Event Sweep
Becca Burrows made her presence felt by winning all four of her events, excelling as a member of the relay teams and individually clinching titles in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
Elena Curti’s Podium Performance
Elena Curti secured a spot on the podium in all four of her events. Her remarkable achievements included a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle, a second-place in the 500 freestyle, and being part of both the victorious 200 freestyle relay team and the third-place 200 medley relay team.
Evie DeCarlo’s Dual Success
Evie DeCarlo, also part of the third-place 200 medley relay team, showcased her talent with individual victories in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Looking ahead, NMU will celebrate Senior Day at the PEIF Pool, hosting the Lake Superior State Lakers for the first time in program history on Saturday, February 8, at 1 p.m.
