University of Cincinnati Athletics Hall of Fame Inducts New Members
CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati is set to honor six distinguished athletes as new members of its Athletics Hall of Fame. This prestigious induction will take place during the Homecoming Weekend events, specifically on October 24, 2025.
Meet the 2025 Inductees
- Tony Pike – Quarterback
- Mike Mickens – Cornerback
- Tom Marvaso – Defensive Back
- Meridy Glenn – Women’s Soccer Head Coach
- KB Sharp – Women’s Basketball Player
- Jessie Nevitt – Volleyball All-American
The induction ceremony will occur at the Fifth Third Arena, followed by recognitions during the Bearcats’ home football game against Baylor at Nippert Stadium on October 25, 2025.
Adequate Achievements
Among the honorees:
- Tony Pike was a key player for the Bearcats in 2008 and 2009, earning First Team All-Big East honors in 2009. He boasts a remarkable starting record of 16 wins against only 3 losses.
- Mike Mickens, a standout during his tenure from 2005 to 2008, holds the record for career interceptions at UC and received All-Big East recognition four times.
- Tom Marvaso earned MVP honors in 1974 and made a significant mark by scoring on both an interception and a kickoff return within a single game.
- Meridy Glenn served as the head coach for the women’s soccer team, achieving 255 victories and guiding the squad to six NCAA Tournament appearances. She was named Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2001.
- KB Sharp, who ranks as the all-time assists leader in women’s basketball with 623, played six years in the WNBA and earned All-Conference USA recognition twice.
- Jessie Nevitt made her mark in volleyball from 2005 to 2008, being honored as the Big East Rookie of the Year in 2005. She concluded her college career with impressive totals of 1,498 kills and 652 blocks.
