Snow College Women’s Soccer Secures Victory Against USUE

The No. 10 ranked Snow College women’s soccer team opened their Scenic West Athletic Conference season with a narrow 1-0 win over Utah State University Eastern (USUE) on Saturday. The match took place at the Snow College Soccer Complex in Ephraim.
Kelsie Peterson scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute, taking advantage of a deflection from the USUE goalkeeper after a shot by Caliyah Wagner. Peterson seized the opportunity, controlling the ball and slotting it into the net for the decisive score.

The first half of the match was characterized by balanced play. While Snow College attempted a total of 12 shots, USUE managed three. In total, USUE finished the game with eight shots, four of which were on target, compared to Snow College’s 21 shots with five on target.
