ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lindenwood women’s soccer team faced a challenging match against Tennessee Tech, resulting in a 4-1 defeat at Hunter Stadium on Sunday. This loss brings their record to 5-4-3 overall and 2-2-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC).

Match Highlights

The game commenced with Tennessee Tech quickly establishing dominance. They netted two goals within a span of just a few minutes during the first half:

  • Allison Lee scored first, capitalizing on a rebound from a shot by Lucia Cuadra.
  • Natalie Howard followed just minutes later, slotting the ball into the top left corner from close range.

As the first half drew to a close, Lindenwood found a moment of respite. With less than a minute remaining, Lily Sutter successfully converted a penalty kick following a foul committed by Tennessee Tech’s Delaney Wade inside the box.

Second Half Developments

Despite Lindenwood’s hopes for a comeback, the second half saw Tennessee Tech extend their lead:

  • Natalie Howard scored her second goal of the game, again finding the top shelf of the net.

Lindenwood had opportunities to narrow the score, including a penalty kick chance due to a handball by Tennessee Tech in their box, but the attempt did not convert.
