TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW
The 2025 French Broad Collegiate Invitational is set to unfold from October 27-28, 2025, in Arden, North Carolina. The tournament will take place at the scenic Cliffs at Walnut Cove, featuring a par 72 course measuring 6,020 yards.
EVENT FORMAT
The competition will follow a 36-hole format. The first day will commence with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, while the second day will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

ASHEVILLE’S RECENT PERFORMANCE
The UNC Asheville women’s golf team recently secured its third second-place finish of the fall season at the UNCG Collegiate. The Bulldogs concluded the tournament with a cumulative score of 890, with rounds of 295, 294, and 301.
Individual performances included standout finishes from Caroline Patterson and Breanna Hoese, both landing in the top ten. Patterson achieved a T5 finish with scores of 73-71-76 (+4), while Hoese followed closely with rounds of 74-75-72 (+5), securing seventh place. Patterson’s performance earned her the Big South Golfer of the Week title for the third time this season.
FRENCH BROAD COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL HISTORY
The French Broad Collegiate Invitational has been hosted by UNC Asheville since its inception in the spring of 2019. After a pause during the pandemic years, the tournament returned in the fall of 2021. This year marks the fifth iteration of the event at Asheville, following last year’s cancellation due to adverse weather conditions caused by Hurricane Helene.
The local community and volunteers at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove have been instrumental in hosting the tournament, contributing to its success through their hospitality and support.
