The ULM women’s golf team is set to participate in The Ally, which is being hosted by Mississippi State at the historic Old Waverly Golf Club. This tournament comprises three rounds and will take place from October 20 to October 22.

About Old Waverly Golf Club
Located in West Point, Mississippi, Old Waverly Golf Club features an 18-hole course measuring approximately 7,088 yards. This par-72 layout opened its doors in 1988 and consistently ranks among the top private clubs nationwide. Notably, Old Waverly has previously hosted significant events, including the SEC Women’s Championship in 1994 and 2007, the U.S. Women’s Open in 1999, and the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 2019.

Team Performance Leading Up to the Tournament
In their recent outing at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, ULM emerged victorious, winning the team title by a commanding 20 strokes. Tessa Ion secured her first career individual win, highlighted by an impressive hole-in-one during the final round. This victory also earned her recognition as the Sun Belt Women’s Golfer of the Week, marking a consecutive year for ULM in winning this tournament.
What’s Next for ULM
The ULM women’s golf team will conclude its fall season with this tournament. They are scheduled to resume competition in the spring, commencing with the Great River Cup on February 16 in Gulfport, Mississippi, an event also hosted by ULM.
