BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The No. 8-rated Arkansas women’s golf team is currently leading the Route 66 Invitational after completing two rounds at Cedar Ridge Country Club on Monday. As the only team competing under par, the Razorbacks have established a commanding 10-shot advantage over the second-place Oklahoma team.
Key Performers
Leading the charge for Arkansas is Maria José Marin, the reigning NCAA individual champion. Marin is tied for first place at eight under par, having recorded two impressive rounds in the 60s. Her performance has been instrumental in Arkansas’s standings as they navigate their third tournament of the fall season.
Joining Marin in the ranks of under-par golfers are teammates Reagan Zibilski and Clarisa Temelo. Zibilski achieved an even-par score of 71 during the initial 18 holes, notably sinking an eagle on the first hole. Temelo, despite facing challenges in the second round with a score of 5-over par, remains a strong competitor.
