East Lansing, Michigan – The Michigan State women’s golf team is gearing up for the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, which marks its second competition of the 2025-26 season. This tournament will take place from Sunday, September 21 to Tuesday, September 23 at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.
The Canadian Collegiate Invitational features a competitive, three-day format comprising 54 holes, starting with 18 holes on Sunday followed by additional rounds on Monday, September 22, and concluding on Tuesday, September 23. The event is being co-hosted by Kent State University and the University of Michigan.

Recent Performance:
The Spartans recently competed in the Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club, where they secured a fifth-place finish among a field of twelve teams. The team’s total score was 29-over par 893, consisting of rounds of 303, 291, and 299.
Junior Ana Sofia Murcia led the Spartans with a ninth-place finish, finishing the tournament at 3-over par 219 (73-71-75). Murcia excelled in her play, tying for third in average par-3 scoring (2.83) and tying for seventh with a total of 38 pars over the tournament.
Senior Paula Balanzategui also made a notable impact, recording the team’s best round of the final day with a 1-under par 71, which placed her in a tie for 16th at 8-over par 224 (79-74-71). Balanzategui was one of only five players in the field to score an eagle, achieved on the second day at the par-5 sixth hole, and tallied nine birdies throughout the event.
Senior Taylor Kehoe rounded out the team’s top performances, finishing tied for 26th at 10-over par 226 (80-72-74), marked by a steady performance capped with 34 pars across the three rounds.
