Navy Women’s Cross Country Team Achieves Third at 2025 Patriot League Championship
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Competing at the Goodman Family Cross Country Course on Friday, the Navy women’s cross country team placed third among ten teams at the 2025 Patriot League Championship. The event was highlighted by impressive performances from sophomore Jane Phillips and junior Lexi Ensor, who earned Second Team All-Conference accolades.
Event Highlights
In a highly competitive race, Army dominated the field, scoring just 21 points to clinch first place. Bucknell followed in second with 48 points, while Navy tallied 99 points to secure the third spot. The top five was completed by Boston University with 120 points and Lehigh with 136 points. Top Performers
Charlotte Richman of Army captured the individual title with a time of 20:19.4, finishing 20 seconds ahead of Bucknell’s Shaelan McNally, who clocked in at 20:39.8.
For Navy, Jane Phillips stood out with a finishing time of 21:15.2, placing ninth overall and earning her first All-Patriot League honors. Just behind her, Lexi Ensor finished in 12th place with a time of 21:20.2, also securing All-Conference recognition.
Senior captain Sophie Compton was not far behind, finishing 18th overall with a time of 21:32.4, narrowly missing all-conference honors. Freshman Juliet Frum showed impressive potential by finishing 30th overall, recording a time of 21:45.1, the second-fastest among all freshmen in the race. Rounding out Navy’s top five was senior Kate Leddy, who finished 32nd with a time of 21:49.1.

Looking Ahead
Both the Navy women’s and men’s cross country teams will now have a two-week period of preparation before competing at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, scheduled for November 14, hosted at Lehigh.
