Game Progression
The match began with Vermont taking an early lead, as junior Malia Lenz connected on a three-pointer at the 7:38 mark of the first quarter. However, Hawaii quickly responded with sophomore Rebecca Moors scoring consecutive baskets to edge ahead 4–3.
Vermont regained the lead later in the quarter, ending the first frame ahead 14–12, with Lenz’s scoring touch proving vital. She continued her momentum into the second quarter, hitting another three-pointer to extend their advantage.
As the first half progressed, Hawaii orchestrated a comeback, culminating in a 34–33 halftime lead after a strong 13-3 run.
In the third quarter, Vermont reasserted dominance, outscoring Hawaii 24-13 and entering the final quarter with a 57–47 lead after a last-second floater by senior Catherine Gilwee.
The Catamounts maintained their lead throughout the fourth quarter, with key plays from senior Jadyn Weltz and multiple trips to the free-throw line sealing their 73–67 victory.
