UT Tyler Women’s Basketball Ranked #20 in Preseason Poll
UT Tyler women’s basketball team has been positioned at #20 in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division II Preseason Top 25, as announced on Tuesday. This marks a promising start to their season.
Last Season Highlights
The Patriots concluded the previous season with an impressive overall record of 25 wins and 5 losses, which included a strong performance in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) where they achieved 20 victories against only 2 losses. This success allowed them to not only advance to the LSC Tournament for the fourth consecutive year but also to participate in the NCAA Tournament for the third year in a row.
Preseason Rankings Overview
UT Tyler received a total of 106 points in the ranking system. Last season, they finished ranked at #14. Leading the preseason rankings is Grand Valley State, which garnered 21 out of 22 first-place votes. Following them in the top five are:

- 3. Texas Woman’s
- 4. North Georgia
- 5. Gannon
Notably, North Georgia claimed the lone remaining first-place vote.
