FINAL SCORE: Vermont 137, Dean 31
BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont Catamounts showcased remarkable skill and teamwork during their matchup against Dean College, securing a commanding victory with a score of 137-31 on Tuesday evening at Patrick Gym. This impressive win included the breaking of multiple team records, with every player participating in the game.
Coach’s Perspective
“For us, this game was about the little details, the little challenges that we kept including throughout the game,” said Alisa Kresge, the Mayer Women’s Head Coach. “I thought for the most part we were disciplined on both sides of the ball, which was really important. There were a couple of times that we were casual, and they took advantage of that. Overall, I still think this was a great opportunity for us to learn.”

The first quarter saw sophomore Savanna Creal achieving her first layup, extending the Catamounts’ lead to 25-6. Senior Nikola Priede made her presence felt, scoring her seventh layup early in the second quarter, pushing the score to 45-6. First-year Lia Hanson then added her name to the score sheet, netting a layup assisted by her sister, Kiera Hanson, shortly before the half.
By halftime, the Catamounts held a commanding 65-13 lead.
