In a recent contest at the Comerica Center in Frisco, the University of North Texas (UNT) women’s basketball team faced a challenging matchup against the undefeated Texas Tech Lady Raiders, ultimately falling 67-47. This loss brings the Mean Green’s season record to 5-2.
This game marked the first encounter between the two programs since 2001, and it held additional significance as Texas Tech is currently receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings.
Throughout the game, the Mean Green struggled to keep pace, trailing behind for the majority of the match—38 minutes in total. An early surge in the third quarter narrowed the gap to 30-27, but the Lady Raiders swiftly countered with a decisive 10-0 scoring run, regaining a substantial lead as they headed into the final period.

She was joined in double figures by Aysia Proctor and Andi Schissler, who scored 14 and 10 points, respectively.
