Shaler Township Rescue Efforts: Two Women Saved After Rainfall Incident

On Sunday afternoon, two women found themselves in a precarious situation at Fall Run Park in Shaler Township when heavy rain led to their entrapment on a steep hill. The Shaler Township Police Department reported that first responders were dispatched to the scene after receiving alerts about the stranded individuals.

The women, both in their twenties, had not entered the water but were located on the hillside, prompting the need for a swift water rescue team to intervene. The responders successfully assisted them across a nearby creek, ensuring their safe passage.

Following the rescue operation, both women were evaluated for minor injuries. Additionally, a neighbor who had attempted to help by climbing down the hill was also assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident.

The Shaler Township Police Department praised the prompt actions of the first responders, stating, “Kudos to all first responders involved for their quick response and bringing them to safety.”

Fall Run Park is a picturesque destination known for its natural waterfall and scenic walking paths, attracting visitors from both local and surrounding areas. The park remains a popular spot for outdoor activities, showcasing the beauty of the natural landscape.
