MILWAUKEE — March is celebrated nationwide as Women’s History Month, and a remarkable group of women from Wisconsin is making a significant difference through their fundraising initiatives.
The Women’s Beer and Spirits Collective is a collaboration of 14 women from diverse breweries across Wisconsin, uniting their efforts in the brewing industry.
This initiative has united them in a fundraising endeavor during March, which is expected to generate significant financial support for various causes.
“It’s incredible,” expressed Julianna Pierandozzi, Sales Representative at 3 Sheeps Brewing Company and co-founder of the Women’s Beer and Spirits Collective. “The best part is not just the funds we’re raising but the overwhelming community support from bars and restaurants eager to collaborate with us. Plus, we love bringing more women into our collective each year.”

Although brewing is often perceived as a male-dominated arena, these women are leaving a lasting impact on their community.
“Selling beer is an enjoyable experience, and we genuinely love what we do,” she continued. “Our companies fully support our initiatives, empowering us to make a positive difference in the community—something we never imagined could stem from our roles as sales representatives.”
For the last four years, this collective has come together to raise funds for charities focused on women. Last year, they successfully collected $20,000.
This year, their goal is to exceed that milestone, as they have expanded their contributions to multiple charities, including:
- Lotus Legal Fund
- Wisconsin Women’s Network
- 9to5
- Pearls for Teen Girls
- Girls on the Run
- Sunshine Place
- Reproductive Justice Action Milwaukee

Amanda Olson, Market Manager at Surly Brewing Company, shared her pride in being part of this collective effort.
“Despite coming from various breweries that are usually perceived as competitors, our dynamic is entirely collaborative,” Olson stated. “It feels like spending time with friends throughout March while achieving something meaningful together.”
The group has meticulously organized nearly 40 events this March, with 16 events already completed in just the first 12 days.
They are committed to the mission, knowing the funds they raise will support numerous charities dedicated to uplifting women.
“Helping people brings me joy,” said Maggie Skinner, Sales Manager at Revolution Brewing. “I volunteer frequently, and this initiative resonates profoundly with my personal values, which I know is true for the other women in the collective too. This effort is woven into the fabric of who we are.”
