FEMeeting 2023: Women in Art, Science, and Technology
An international assembly of 81 women from nine countries will meet in Taos, New Mexico, for the inaugural FEMeeting 2023, scheduled for July 24-28. This event aims to enhance international collaboration and knowledge-sharing among women in diverse fields, focusing on contributions to art, science, and technology. Public talks are set to follow on July 29 and 30 in both Taos and Santa Fe.
Event Overview
The gathering is organized by Portuguese bio-artist Marta de Menezes, currently a Fulbright Scholar at the University of New Mexico, alongside media scholar Dalila Honorato. Local artists Agnes Chavez and Andrea Polli are coordinating activities at the New Mexico venues. Attendees can look forward to a series of 70 closed-session presentations showcasing cutting-edge research and innovative projects.

Mission and Goals
The FEMeeting conference aims to cultivate direct collaboration among women-identifying individuals while fostering artistic and research innovation. It serves as a platform for disseminating global projects executed by women, ultimately contributing to the development of methodologies that bridge art and science. The event emphasizes inclusive participation, inviting all interested individuals, irrespective of gender, to engage in its topics.
