1. Limiting Dining Out
For serious weight loss aspirants, frequent dining out may need to be reduced. Simrun shared, “For those five months, my priority was only my weight and my back. So I stuck to home food and, at most, ate out once a week. I even carried food to a friend’s house once for dinner!”
2. Avoiding Deep-Fried Foods
While fried foods may be tempting, they often contain excessive empty calories. Simrun noted, “The added calories just weren’t worth the effort I was putting in. My goal was my priority. I knew the food wasn’t running away; it was only for a short period.”
3. Eliminating Sugary Beverages
To cut calories, cutting out sugary drinks, including juices, sodas, and cocktails, is crucial. Simrun stated, “No juices, smoothies outside, no aerated drinks, mocktails, or cocktails. Instead, I switched to plain soda because I love cold fizzy drinks.”
4. Reducing Late-Night Socializing
Social engagements can disrupt sleep and workout routines. “I worked out in the morning, and if going out meant I’d miss my workout, I would not go out, or I’d come back early,” Simrun explained.
5. Moderating Dessert Intake
A sweet tooth can be challenging to manage, but moderation is essential. “I would max taste a tiny spoon from someone. For me, sweets were a weakness, and this worked much better for me,” she shared.
