Coach Stefani Webb’s Insights

Head Coach Stefani Webb expressed her enthusiasm for the season’s opening weekend, stating, “We have had a great preseason and playing some great soccer and connecting really well. We are excited to finally play against someone else and test ourselves to see where we need to grow.”

Looking ahead, she highlighted the importance of these two matches as vital opportunities for the Patriots to establish their identity, noting, “This is a great weekend to go after it and really find our identity. Two tough games on the road and an amazing chance to start the season.”

Patriots Overview

As they embark on their 23rd season, the UT Tyler women’s soccer program holds an impressive all-time record of 229 wins, 115 losses, and 39 draws (.649). Since transitioning to NCAA Division II competition, they have a record of 33-40-19 (.462). The Patriots closed the 2024 season with a 10-4-3 overall record, finishing ninth in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) standings.

Last season saw standout performances from players like Brooke Mullins, who earned All-LSC Third Team honors, and Natalie Jones, who led the team in both points (20) and goals (7) and secured a slot on the All-LSC Second Team.

Entering her 21st season, Coach Webb recently celebrated her 300th career win, marking an impressive coaching tenure of 210-100-37 (.659) at UT Tyler and a total of 300-146-44 (.657) over 27 years.

Home Field Advantage

UT Tyler has demonstrated considerable success on their home turf at Citizen’s 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex, achieving a record of 22-14-10 since adopting Division II status. They will aim to continue this trend after finishing with a strong home record last season and performing admirably at home in recent years.

Looking Ahead: 2025 Roster Highlights

The upcoming season will feature a wealth of experienced talent, including Brooke Mullins and Natalie Jones, both of whom have received All-LSC accolades. The team will also benefit from a solid defensive lineup featuring Gabrielle Wiebe and Katelyn Walerczyk, along with returning goalkeeper Emily Clark. Key midfielders include Melissa Oliveira, Marin Love, and Danica Anaya, who were instrumental in the past season’s success.

For the 2025 campaign, the Patriots have been ranked ninth in the LSC Women’s Soccer Preseason Poll, garnering 347 votes. This solid position reflects their competitiveness as they aim for improved standings this season.

Rogers State Summary

Rogers State concluded the 2024 season with a 3-12-3 record and a 2-7-3 performance in the MIAA conference, entering the season with expectations set at an 11th place preseason ranking.
