Recently, the Spartans celebrated a significant victory over No. 6 Lynn, winning 17-8. Leading the charge was All-American attacker Peyton Howell, who had an impressive game with seven goals and three assists. Having rebounded from their lone loss earlier in the season, Tampa is now enjoying a four-game winning streak.
The Sunshine State Conference (SSC) is heating up as Tampa, alongside No. 3 Florida Southern and No. 4 Embry-Riddle, finds itself in a three-way tie for first place heading into the final week of the regular season. The competition intensifies as all three teams vie for the top seed in the upcoming SSC tournament, which begins this Saturday.
No. 5 Maryville is also enjoying a remarkable season, extending its winning streak to 12 games after overcoming No. 13 UIndy with an 18-16 victory. The Saints’ triumph was marked by an eight-goal run during the game and a standout performance from Helen Bae, who scored six goals. Their only setback of the season occurred in their opener against Tampa.
