RIT Women’s Volleyball Team Faces Tough Matches

The RIT Women’s Volleyball team encountered a challenging day during a tri-match held in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. The team was unable to secure a win, falling to Penn State Behrend with a score of 3-1 and to Carnegie Mellon 3-0.
Penn State Behrend vs. RIT (3-1)
In their first matchup against Penn State Behrend, RIT showcased strong efforts but ultimately lost in four sets: 26-24, 18-25, 25-18, and 25-17.

In a competitive fourth set, RIT evened the score at 14-14, but Behrend closed out the match with a series of unanswered points, ending the game with a decisive victory.
Carnegie Mellon vs. RIT (3-0)
In the second match of the day, RIT faced Carnegie Mellon and suffered a sweep in straight sets: 25-19, 25-13, 25-14.

RIT will look to regroup and return to Liberty League action next weekend. The team is scheduled to face Union on Friday, October 10, at 7:00 PM, followed by a match against Bard on Saturday, October 11, at 2:00 PM.
