Lindenwood Women’s Volleyball Continues Winning Streak
Match Summary
The Lindenwood women’s volleyball team improved their record to 8 wins and 9 losses overall, alongside a 4-5 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), after achieving a convincing 3-0 victory against Tennessee State, whose record now stands at 1-21 with 0-9 in conference play.
Set-by-Set Breakdown
The contest began with a tightly contested first set, reaching a deadlock at 20-20. The Lions demonstrated their determination by finishing strong, securing five consecutive points to clinch the set, thus taking an early lead in the match.
In the second set, Lindenwood seized control early on with a remarkable 10-1 scoring run, establishing a commanding 13-4 advantage. They continued to dominate, ultimately winning the set 25-16.
Continuing the momentum, the Lions jumped to a 14-6 lead in the third set. Although Tennessee State attempted a comeback with a 7-1 run to narrow the gap, Lindenwood responded effectively, outscoring their opponents 10-2 to secure the final set and match.
Individual Performances
Leading the Lions was Kylee Richey, who recorded a total of 13 kills while maintaining an impressive hitting percentage of .345. Additionally, Autumn Bax contributed significantly, adding 11 kills with a hitting percentage of .321.
Setting up the plays effectively was Amelia Thro, who tallied a career-high 37 assists. This effort helped the team achieve an overall hitting percentage of .291.
On the defensive side, Dana Grib led with 16 digs, while Shannon Monahan achieved a career-high of 11 digs.

“Any time you can go on the road and get two wins you have to be happy with the results. I think we did a good job of applying what we have been working on in practice and happy for the team that got to see the dividends of that work,” said head coach Will Condon.

Lindenwood women’s volleyball will take a short break before returning to competition. The team’s next match is scheduled against SIUE on October 28, 2025, with the serve set for 6:00 p.m.
