USF Women’s Soccer Secures Victory Over Stetson
TAMPA, Fla. (September 7, 2025) – The University of South Florida women’s soccer team dominated their match against Stetson, securing a decisive 3-0 victory at Corbett Stadium. This win brings the Bulls’ season record to 3-4, while the Hatters also stand at 3-4.
Match Highlights
The scoring began in the 36th minute when Gentiana Fetaj netted the first goal. After receiving a well-timed pass inside the box, she skillfully maneuvered around a defender and found the back of the net, giving South Florida a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, Linnea Nestor doubled the Bulls’ lead in the 75th minute with a stunning strike from just outside the box that hit the upper 90 of the far post, courtesy of a well-placed through ball from Skylar Alonso.

Just a minute later, Emily Lemke added a third goal. Displaying great speed, she capitalized on a pass from Yui Suetsugu and deftly chipped the ball over the Stetson keeper while sliding, bringing the score to 3-0.

Defensive Performance
Leire Herraez Gallach started the match as the goalkeeper for the Bulls, making two saves in the first half. Gaby Rourke took over in the second half, also recording two saves, resulting in a combined clean sheet for South Florida.
