Saniyah Hall, recognized as the top women’s basketball prospect in the high school class of 2026 by ESPN, has made her commitment to join Southern California’s basketball program.
The announcement was made last week during an appearance on ESPN’s “NBA Today.” Hall, a versatile 6-foot-2 guard hailing from northeast Ohio, follows a trend at USC where the program has recently secured three No. 1 recruits in the last four years. She joins the ranks of JuJu Watkins, who committed in 2023, and Jasmine Davidson, who made her commitment for the 2025 class.
Watkins, a standout player, faces a significant challenge ahead as she is expected to recuperate from a torn ACL sustained during the NCAA Women’s Tournament, pushing her expected return to the 2026-27 season—the same year Hall is set to start her collegiate journey.
Recently, Hall solidified her prowess on the international stage, contributing to the United States’ success at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup. Throughout the tournament, she showcased her skills by averaging 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, ultimately earning the title of tournament MVP.
For the upcoming senior season, Hall has transferred to SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio, after previously playing at Montverde Academy in Florida. This move positions her for continued growth and development as she prepares for her future at USC.
