UConn Women’s Basketball Aims for Third Big East Victory Against Marquette
Following an impressive 67-41 victory over Providence last Sunday, the UConn women’s basketball team is looking to secure another win and improve to 3-0 in Big East Conference play as they face Marquette this Wednesday.
Paige Bueckers shone in the recent match against Providence, leading all scorers with 23 points. In addition, Sarah Strong contributed 14 points, while Azzi Fudd added eight points to the team’s showing.
The triumph over Providence marked a much-needed rebound for UConn, which faced a narrow loss against Southern California (70-72) in their previous game. With a record of 11-2 overall and a perfect 2-0 in the Big East, the Huskies are striving to maintain their momentum.
