UCF Women’s Basketball Falls to Iowa State
AMES, Iowa – The UCF women’s basketball team faced a tough challenge on Saturday afternoon, losing to Iowa State with a final score of 90-56 in Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones (15-7, 6-3 Big 12) showcased strong team performance, dominating the boards with 42 rebounds and providing an impressive 29 assists. In contrast, the Knights (7-11, 0-8) made four blocks throughout the game.
First Half Overview
Iowa State jumped out to an early lead, starting the game with a 13-0 run. Nevaeh Brown responded for the Knights with a jump shot, quickly followed by a three-pointer, contributing to her seven-point total. However, the Cyclones outpaced UCF, ending the first quarter ahead 26-12.
The Cyclones extended their lead further with a 6-0 surge in the second quarter, heading into halftime with a comfortable 47-27 advantage.
Second Half Action
After halftime, Ally Stedman energized the Knights with a three-pointer, sparking a 10-0 run. Yet, Iowa State quickly countered with a 12-0 response. Stedman performed notably well, maintaining a perfect record from beyond the arc in the third quarter. As the period wrapped up, Iowa State continued their dominant play, ending the third with a 67-42 lead.

UCF started the fourth quarter strong, pushing through with a 7-0 run, but Iowa State countered with a 9-0 run of their own, sealing the game at 90-56.
Nevaeh Brown stood out for the Knights, leading the scoring with 23 points, followed closely by Stedman, who added 10 points. Adeang Ring had a career-high performance with 11 rebounds and three blocks, while Achol Akot contributed six assists and two steals.
