TriHealth Partners with Clinton Memorial Hospital to Enhance Women’s Health Care
In an effort to improve personalized primary care for women, TriHealth has announced a new partnership with Clinton Memorial Hospital. This collaboration marks a significant enhancement in healthcare services available in the southeastern Ohio region.
Key Features of the Partnership
As the sixth member of the TriHealth network, Clinton Memorial Hospital will leverage the established model of population health promoted by TriHealth, targeting a diverse range of health needs from preventive care to chronic condition management.
“Population health is really around taking a population and helping it be the best it can be from a health perspective,” said Terri Hanlon-Bremer, TriHealth’s Chief Operating Officer. “Whether that is someone that has chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or get people that are really moving upstream to prevention so that you can get someone before an exacerbation of a chronic condition occurs.”
Focus on Women’s Health
The new partnership aims to address women’s health needs across various life stages, from pregnancy through menopause. Already well-established in Wilmington with its primary care and women’s health offerings, TriHealth will continue to provide tailored care through its innovative Helix program.
Understanding the Helix Program
The Helix program focuses on precision medicine and genetic testing, particularly for conditions like hyperlipidemia, breast cancer, and Lynch syndrome, which is associated with colon cancer. This initiative offers complimentary genetic testing services to the community.
“Yes, Helix is our DNA discovery,” Hanlon-Bremer explained. “It’s really around precision medicine and genetic testing… That is a free service for the community where you can go in and get your genetic testing, and if you test positive for one of those conditions you can be connected to one of our genetic counselors and we can go in and prevent any kind of issues down the road.”
