Track and Field Teams Head to Nashville for Final Meet Before Championships
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – This weekend, the men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to participate in the Music City Challenge. This event marks the last competition of the season before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships.
Event Schedule
The meet will kick off on Friday with field events beginning at 10 a.m. Participants will first compete in the men’s javelin, followed by the men’s and women’s discus events, which will conclude at 3 p.m. Track events are set to start at 5 p.m. with the preliminary rounds of the women’s 100m hurdles.
On Saturday, the competition will resume with field events starting at 9:30 a.m., beginning with the men’s hammer throw. The final field event, the men’s shot put, will take place at 1:30 p.m. The running events will commence at the same hour, beginning with the women’s 4x100m relay, culminating in the men’s 4x400m relay scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
