CCIW Women’s Golf Championship Update: Illinois Wesleyan Leads After Round One
METAMORA, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women’s golf team, the three-time defending champion of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), holds a commanding lead after the opening round of the 2025 CCIW Women’s Golf Championship. Competing at Metamora Fields Golf Club, the Titans shot a remarkable team score of 305, establishing an 11-stroke advantage going into the next two rounds.

Top Individual Performers
Leading the individual leaderboard are Emily Gastrau from Illinois Wesleyan and Lexi Manteufel from Carthage, both finishing with a score of two-over-par 73. Gastrau played an integral role in the Titans’ success, which saw four of their golfers placing within the top six. Following closely behind, Julia Henry of Illinois Wesleyan and Madison Place of North Central are tied for third at four-over-par 75. Gigi Zera, also representing Illinois Wesleyan, rounds out the top five with a score of 76 (+5).
Next Round Details
The championship continues on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., with participants gearing up for the second round of competition. Co-leaders Gastrau and Manteufel are scheduled to tee off together at 11:33 a.m.
