The Brock Badgers women’s hockey team triumphed with a commanding 3-0 victory against the Western Mustangs at Thompson Arena in London on Saturday, February 8, marking their sixth win of the season.

Fourth-year forward Madison Cronkwright notched a goal, bringing her season tally to eight, while third-year forward Jenna Duarte scored twice, enhancing her season total to seven goals.
The first period was intense, marked by 12 total penalty minutes. Duarte’s two goals against Mustang’s goaltender Presley Daschuk gave the Badgers a strong lead early on.
With just under three minutes left in the second stanza, Cronkwright extended the Badgers’ lead, capitalizing on a shot that deflected off a Western player, making it 3-0 for Brock.
Defensively, the Badgers excelled in the final period, successfully stopping all eight shots from Western during the penalty kill to secure their 3-0 victory.
Fourth-year defensewoman Ella Krushelnicki contributed significantly to the game, providing an assist on Duarte’s first goal.
