St. John’s Women’s Soccer Announces 2025 Schedule

QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John’s women’s soccer team has unveiled its 2025 schedule, which includes a total of 17 matches under the guidance of Head Coach Ian Stone. The season is set to kick off on August 14 and comprises a mix of non-conference and BIG EAST contests.

Schedule Overview

This season features:

  • Seven non-conference matches across six different conferences
  • Ten BIG EAST games

Exhibition Matches

Prior to the regular season, the Red Storm will participate in two exhibition matches:

  • Fordham: August 4 at 6 p.m.
  • Quinnipiac: August 9 at 6 p.m.

Regular Season Details

Kick-off Matches

The regular season will commence on August 14 with a match against UMass at 4 p.m. at Rudd Field. This will mark the third encounter between the two programs, following a narrow 1-0 victory for St. John’s in their last meeting on February 28, 2021.

Continuing the Season

Following UMass, the Johnnies will face Saint Joseph’s on August 24 at 1 p.m. in Philadelphia, where they previously secured a dramatic 1-0 win last season.

St. John’s will open its home schedule on August 31 against Youngstown State at 1 p.m. This contest will be the inaugural meeting between the two teams.

Key Matchups

Other important fixtures include:

  • Columbia: September 4, 7 p.m. at Cox Family Field, marking the 28th meeting.
  • Monmouth: September 7, 1 p.m. in New Jersey, the first visit since 2004.
  • Boston College: September 14, 3 p.m. in Queens.

BIG EAST Competitions

The Johnnies will begin their BIG EAST action on September 20 with a match against UConn at 7 p.m., followed by their conference home opener against Providence on September 24 at 7 p.m.

Upcoming Matches

Continuing through September and October, the team will face:

  • Seton Hall – September 27, 6 p.m.
  • Marquette – October 1, 8 p.m.
  • Georgetown – October 4, 7 p.m.
  • Villanova – October 11, 8 p.m.
  • Xavier – October 15, 6:30 p.m.

Final Matches and Tournament

The regular season will conclude on November 1 with a trip to Omaha to face Creighton at 1 p.m. The Red Storm enters this match after achieving victories in two consecutive years against the Bluejays, including a thrilling 3-2 win in their last encounter.

The 2025 BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Tournament, presented by JEEP, will take place from November 6-9 at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland.
