Stabbing Incident at Miami Restaurant Leads to Arrest

A heated argument between two women inside a restaurant on Northwest 119th Street culminated in a stabbing on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office. The conflict began when the suspect approached the victim and asked for money, which the victim refused. Following her decline, the situation escalated, resulting in a physical altercation.
Surveillance Footage Captures the Confrontation
Surveillance video inside the restaurant recorded the moments leading up to the stabbing. Aerial footage provided a broader perspective of the scene soon after the incident occurred around 2:30 PM. Witnesses reported that tensions between the two women had been building, with arguments taking place outside the restaurant in the days prior to the attack.
Witness Accounts of the Chaos
Bernardo Ruiz, the restaurant manager, shared his experience of the unsettling event. He described the assailant as a “skinny white lady” wielding scissors and noted, “she started to hurt the other lady four times on the head inside of my business. So all the customers and our staff were scared to see that, you know?” Ruiz expressed concern for the safety of his patrons and staff amidst the chaotic situation.
Aftermath and Authorities’ Response
Deputies quickly apprehended the suspect following the altercation. Fortunately, the victim sustained injuries but is reported to be in stable condition after being transported to a local hospital. As of now, the identities of both the suspect and the victim have not been released to the public.
