Sodexo Canada has named Johanne R. Bélanger, FCPA, FCA, as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With an impressive career spanning two decades, Bélanger brings extensive senior executive experience from various sectors in both Canada and the USA.
A Multifaceted Career
Starting her professional journey as a CPA, Bélanger has successfully navigated through diverse industries, including healthcare, tourism and hospitality, distribution, and the meetings and events sectors. Her most recent role was as President of Healthcare and Senior Living at Compass Group Canada, where she adeptly led transformational initiatives during the global pandemic.
Previous Leadership Roles
Her rich professional background also includes significant positions like Vice President of Field Marketing for North America at Marriott International, as well as President and CEO of Destination Toronto. Additionally, she served as President of Canada for Freeman Audio Visual Services. These experiences have sharpened her strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Bélanger is internationally recognized for her dedication to empowering women leaders. She has received numerous accolades, including the inaugural Katie Taylor Economic Empowerment Award from Women in Tourism & Hospitality, along with being named one of NY MOVES Magazine’s 25 Power Women in 2017.
