DELAFIELD, Wis. — While many watched the Inauguration of President Donald Trump from their homes or workplaces, others came together for a communal viewing experience.
The Republican Women of Waukesha County hosted a lively viewing party in Delafield, where around 100 women united to watch the inauguration of Donald Trump and his inaugural address.
Jessica McGarry, the vice president of the Republican Women of Waukesha County, highlighted that many women in the organization dedicated their time and efforts to support Trump’s campaign. “We have a lot of moms active in the community who hold conservative, America-first values that they want to pass on to their children. It was essential to celebrate the hard work these incredible women have put in to help elect Donald Trump this year,” she remarked.
As Trump took the oath of office, the audience erupted in cheers, with many moved to tears during the historic moment.
The enthusiasm for the inauguration went beyond just the event itself. For women like Heidi Anderson, it signified the arrival of an administration better aligned with their values. “The most important thing is creating a legacy for our children and ensuring they grow up in a prosperous world. They should honor their country as their ancestors did and cherish their beliefs. Freedom of speech is our greatest gift,” she expressed.
McGarry expressed her optimism for greater unity in the upcoming four years, noting the growth of their organization. “We’re welcoming many young, new Republican members who have discovered a sense of belonging here when they felt overlooked elsewhere,” she shared.
