Ole Miss Women’s Tennis Returns Home for Exciting Doubleheader
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss women’s tennis team is back in Oxford this Sunday, February 16, for an exciting doubleheader against Iowa and Alcorn State. Matches will take place at the William F. Galtney Indoor Tennis Center, with the first match starting at 10 a.m., followed by the second at 4 p.m.
Home Court Advantage
The Rebels, currently boasting a record of 6-1 and yet to compete in the SEC, are eager to return home after a challenging stretch of four consecutive road matches. This marks just their second opportunity to play on their home turf this season. Freshman Alice Soulié recently celebrated her first collegiate victories, securing wins in doubles with partner Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher and in singles against Kansas City.

Ludmila Kareisová (Senior, Liberec, Czechia)
- Achieved her 40th career singles victory at the ITA Regionals.
- Reached her 50th career doubles win at the ITA Sectionals.
- Qualifying participant for the NCAA Championships in both singles (2023, 2025) and doubles (2025).
- Currently ranked No. 86 in singles and No. 50 in doubles alongside Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher in the latest ITA polls.
Emma Kette (Junior, Rammelsbach, Germany)
- Reached the semifinals at the ITA Sectionals.
- Secured her 30th career singles victory at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
- Scored her 20th career doubles win at the ITA Regionals.
Rachel Krzyzak (Senior, Milton, Ontario, Canada)
- Led the team in singles victories with an overall record of 18-9 for the 2023-24 season.
- Maintained a career singles record of 49-37 and currently stands at 3-0 in dual matches this season.
Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher (Senior, La Perche, France)
- Finalist in doubles with Kareisová at the ITA Sectionals in 2024.
- Achieved double-digit wins in doubles each year of her career.
- 2025 NCAA Championships qualifier in singles and doubles.
- One win shy of her 50th career doubles victory.
- Ranked No. 50 in doubles with Ludmila Kareisová in the latest ITA rankings.
Andrea Nova (Sophomore, Prague, Czechia)
- Celebrated her first singles victory of the year at the June Stewart Invitational.
- Joined Ole Miss with a peak ranking of No. 298 in the ITF Junior Rankings.
- Clinched Ole Miss’ 4-3 victory over Utah during the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Brooklyn Olson (Freshman, Kansas City, Kansas)
- Recorded her first dual singles victory against Tennessee State.
- Earned her first career singles victory at the June Stewart Invitational.
- Blue Chip five-star recruit, reaching a high of No. 704 in ITF singles rankings.
- Advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Les Petits As Junior Tournament in 2020.
Lucie Petruzelova (Senior, Zasova, Czech Republic)
- Transferred to Ole Miss after three successful seasons at Charlotte.
- Celebrated her first win as a Rebel at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
- Secured her 75th overall singles win against Memphis.
- Two-time All-Conference USA honoree.
- 2025 NCAA Championships qualifier in singles.
Alice Soulié (Freshman, Angers, France)
- Joined the team in January 2025.
- Achieved a career-high of No. 413 in the ITF Junior rankings.
- Recorded 47 wins on the junior circuit, plus 31 wins in professional play.
- Secured her first collegiate victory in both doubles and singles in Tulsa.
Emily Welker (Graduate, Limbach-Oberfrohna, Germany)
- Also signed in January 2025.
- Maintains a World Tennis Number of 13.7.
- Claimed her first title at the 2024 ITF/Tennis Europe W15 in Bucharest.
- Reached a career-high ITF No. 26 singles ranking.
Familiar Faces and New Challenges
Ole Miss welcomes back five players from last year’s roster, including impactful seniors Ludmila Kareisová, Rachel Krzyzak, and Anaëlle Leclercq-Ficher. This trio contributed significantly with a total of 17 singles victories during the fall season. Krzyzak and Emma Kette led the team in singles wins during the 2024 season with 18 and 17 victories, respectively.
Looking Ahead: Opponents
Iowa: The Hawkeyes, featuring a roster predominantly made up of upperclassmen, enter the weekend with a 4-2 season record after securing a win at Memphis. Senior Barbora Pokorna remains undefeated in lower court positions, while Tereza Dejnozkova stands as the highest ranked singles player Ole Miss will face this season at No. 76, boasting a 4-1 record in dual singles.
Alcorn State: The Braves team primarily comprises sophomores, alongside a freshman and a senior. Zoe Crimmel leads the team with a 3-3 record in conference play. In doubles, Doaa Mohamed and Oihane Villanueva Lopez are undefeated with a 2-0 conference record. Under head coach Mark Beyers, Ole Miss holds a perfect 4-0 record against Alcorn State.

Coaching Milestone
Head coach Mark Beyers is on the brink of achieving his 300th win at Ole Miss, making him the winningest coach in the program’s history. A victory would also mark his 350th overall coaching win, making him one of the top 23 active NCAA Division I coaches in terms of wins.
Freshman Phenoms Shine
Freshman Alice Soulié has already made a name for herself after achieving a career-high ITF Junior ranking and securing numerous victories on the junior and professional circuits. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Brooklyn Olson, a highly sought-after Blue Chip recruit, made an impressive start to her collegiate career without allowing a single match point during her singles debut.
