West Texas A&M Athlete Receives Prestigious NCAA ELITE 90 Award
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – West Texas A&M University is proud to announce that Antonella Periotti Omisolo, a standout in women’s golf, has been awarded the NCAA ELITE 90 honor for the upcoming 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Golf Championship. This accolade recognizes not only her athletic achievements but also her commitment to academic excellence.
Academic Excellence Recognized
With a perfect 4.00 GPA, Periotti Omisolo is majoring in Computer Information Systems and Business Analytics. The ELITE 90 award is bestowed upon the student-athlete who has the highest cumulative GPA among peers competing at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s 90 championships. This year, she becomes the sixth recipient of this prestigious award from West Texas A&M, joining a distinguished group of previous honorees including:
- Reagan Haynes – Women’s Basketball (2016-17)
- Bri Leeper – Women’s Outdoor Track and Field (2013-15)
- Ethan Peterson – Men’s Golf (2014-15)
- Emma Love – Women’s Cross Country (2013-14)
Eligibility and Significance of the Award
The NCAA ELITE 90 award aims to highlight the exceptional achievements of student-athletes at a national level. To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores or above and have actively participated in their sport for a minimum of two years at their institution. Any ties in GPA are resolved based on the total number of completed credits.
