On March 12, 2025, eighth-grade students from Panther Middle School participated in the 20th annual “Women in Science” conference held at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls. The conference attracted over 900 students from various schools in the region.

The event operated from 8:45 AM until 2 PM and featured more than 20 interactive exhibits. Participants had the opportunity to engage in presentations and activities designed to educate them about potential careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
